The first summer movie blockbuster of 2014 is here. "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" delivers what you would expect. Amusement Park Ride type 3D action and thrills, The Wolverine is back, (Hugh Jackman's most famous role) and who doesn't want to see Jennifer Lawrence and Halle Berry wearing tight clothes in the same movie? The film is the seventh (really, there's been 7?) in the series based on the characters appearing in Marvel Comics.
From the movie company Fox "The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original "X-Men" film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from the past, "X-Men: First Class," in order to change a major historical event and fight in an epic battle that could save our future. "
And there is the plot. Perhaps 30 minutes too long, and two or three characters too many, if you are not a hardcore fan of the comics, this might prove to be too much, too soon. Good mindless summer fun? Yes? The only awards this film might get though are for sound and SFX. Oh, and maybe make up.
